How to do Abdominal Crunches for Beginners

Number of Sets: 2 to 3 and rest for 2 minutes between sets
Number of Reps: 10 - 20

Steps on how to do Abdominal Crunches:

  1. Lie on back on the floor
  2. Place your legs in front of you, in a bent position, about a shoulder width apart
  3. Cross your hands across your chest with the elbows out or stretch your hands straight
  4. Raise yourself up using your abdominal muscles, while keeping your lower back on the floor
  5. At the top of the crunch slowly exhale
  6. Then inhale as you lower yourself back down to the floor
