6 Simple Tips on How to Detox Your Body
Our body by default naturally performs detoxing with the help of the kidneys and liver. To understand how to detox your body, you first need to understand what detoxing means. Detoxing is the means of removing waste and toxins from the body, hence improving our health. We are exposed to too many contaminants such as processed foods, medications, and most especially pollutants from the environment.
With the vast amount of contaminants our body is exposed to, this slows down the body's ability to detox the body. Performing a full body detox will help to flush out unwanted toxins in the body. This will allow the body to get nutrients from the food to nourish the body. Even when you try to eat as many healthy foods as possible, your body still gets filled with toxins after a few weeks or months.
Toxins are generally part of our daily life, as they are found in the food we eat daily, in medications, air pollution, and in some cases, beauty products applied on the skin.
Please note that the two primary organs in the body that are responsible for detoxing your body naturally is the liver and kidneys.

How to Detox Your Body
Below are 6 tips on how you can detox your body of toxins. These six tips are just a few of the many other ways to detox your body. These will not replace your liver or kidney, the two organs that are responsible for detoxing the body. These tips are simply guides on how to maintain a good healthy life style as well as help in other ways to eliminate toxins from your body.
1) Drink Plenty of Water
Drinking water is one of the best-recommended ways of detoxifying your body, as it will promote the healthy removal of body wastes. Without enough water intake, your body retains all of the water already floating around inside of you, water that is full of toxins all day long. Taking in more water signals your body of these extra waters, hence causing your body system to begin flushing out toxins from your body.
2) Eat Green Veggies
Numerous green plants on the planet are known to contain chlorophyll and spirulina - micro algae known for its detoxification and immune benefit to the body. These plants don't taste too bad but if you aren't used to eating them, then think of adding them into your soups, or a bowl of mixed greens veggies, or even mixed into a smooth green smoothy drink.
3) Eat More Fiber
Fiber is a known powerful nutrient that aids in weight loss, but did you also know that it can help detoxify your body? Fiber acts like a sponge by soaking up water in your body (soluble fiber), soaks up all the fat, sugar, cholesterol, and toxins floating around in your body. While the soluble fiber makes you feel full, the insoluble fiber helps dispose of food waste through your digestive organs. Foods rich in fiber include barley, beets, broccoli, quinoa, radishes, and artichokes, but almost every other vegetable and grain on the planet have plenty of this essential nutrient.
4) Empty Your Bowels Regularly
Your bowel movements are the best eliminators of your body waste, including your toxins. If you have an irregular bowel movement, you end up storing dangerous toxins in your body. For this reason, it's recommended you eat a lot of food rich in liquid content (soluble fiber). These include fruits and vegetables such as tomatoes, pineapples, watermelon, cranberries, grapefruits, and strawberries.
5) Sweating It Out
Remember that a lot of the toxins in the body do enter through the skin, but performing exercise that causes you to sweat can help to get rid of some of these toxins - not much of it to be quite frank. When you sweat, this causes water stored up near the skin surface to be eliminated, along with the toxins that have been collected. The more you sweat, the more toxins your body can eliminate. I would recommend you try and sweat for at least 30 minutes a day, though longer is always better. Combine regular energetic exercise with a sauna visit or steam bath a few times a week, and you'll feel the difference.
6) Breathe in Practice
Those looking to detox their bodies should try to spend some time performing deep breathing, away from city pollution. Deep breathing helps pump oxygen into your lungs and bloodstream. Doing deep breathing will help detoxify your body, boost your lung, and heart.
Also spend some time walking, hiking, fishing, or just relaxing in the forest, or mountains, and your body will detoxify itself much more easily.
Does peeing flush out toxins?
Yes, peeing does help to flush out toxins from the body. The kidneys by default filter out waste products from the blood including excess fluids and dispose of them through the bladder in form of urine.
How long does it take to detox your body?
Detoxing would vary from person to person based on age, gender as well as if you are detoxing from drugs or alcohol. So the detoxing process may vary from 1 day to weeks.
